During the recent school holiday break, families in the outer north area had a great day of activities, with many reconnecting after our first sibling day in the area earlier in the year. Thank you to @supreme_incursions for the fun Billy Cart making and racing🏎🏎 We look forward to restrictions easing, allowing us to welcome local families to more sibling days in the next school holidays! #veryspecialkids

Happy NAIDOC week! As a community, this week is an opportunity to celebrate and learn more about the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This week the children staying at our hospice enjoyed some sensory story time, hearing stories about and written by, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The children also created Aboriginal flags that are now proudly welcoming visitors as they enter the hospice.

James’ Trip To The Zoo is a beautiful picture book all about inclusiveness, and of course, his exciting trip to the zoo. Written by Grace Kavanagh, whose son James has been supported by Very Special Kids for a number of years, the book is being enjoyed by children staying at our hospice as well as being read by Sarah Ferguson!
